At its non-event CES 2025 press conference, Samsung announced Monday, January 22nd as the date for its next Unpacked event. The timing is consistent with previous reports. The event, which was streamed live through Samsung’s website, will almost certainly be the launch pad for the company’s latest flagship, the Galaxy S25. The show comes a few days later than last year’s Unpacked, which debuted on S24 on January 17. In recent years, Samsung has moved to a six-month flagship release cycle, starting with the Galaxy S line in January, followed by the latest versions of the Galaxy Z Flip and the foldable Galaxy Z Fold every year. Like Monday’s press conference, the company will spend much of the event laying out its plans for “Galaxy AI,” its proprietary effort to integrate generative AI into handsets — notably Samsung’s take on Google’s Gemini and Apple’s Intelligence.
