Adobe has agreed to acquire collaboration software company Figma for approximately $20 billion. Biggest deal in its history By acquiring a smaller but fast-growing rival, the tech giant hopes to gain access to a wider group of customers.
Figma isn’t well known to the general public, but its cloud-based collaboration tools have a strong following among software developers and product managers building apps and other technology products. Adobe executives said they believe the acquisition will allow them to capitalize on demand from such users in a way that complements their base of designers using existing software tools.
