UK gas ready to tease beyond the grave | Oil and gas companies

“It’s not us,” British Gas says in response to criticism of bullying tactics (“That’s not who we are,” laments British Gas. Sorry, but that’s exactly who you are if you’re using a bailiff to install your meter, Feb 3 Day). Oh yes. This is a company with a “bereavement team” that is actually a debt collection company. Nothing about British Gas surprises me right now.

Reply to Janet Mansfield (letter, February 1), As a political teacher at Loreto Sixth Form College in Manchester, John Harris was one of many graduates who went on to excel in their chosen careers after attending Oxford, Cambridge and the Russell Group universities.
