Next, various sharing options pop up. You can choose the email option to send the file to yourself as an attachment, or upload it to a cloud service like Google Drive. To download the file directly, swipe to the end of the Share To option and tap More. There will be more options. Look for options that allow you to save videos locally. On Android, the best option to save to your phone will be labeled Files by Google. Tap this icon to download a video to your phone, then use Android’s built-in Files app to explore your downloads. On iOS, look for the Save to File option, then choose to save the video to your device’s internal storage or iCloud drive. Download TikTok Videos to Your Computer The easiest option to collect your work is to download videos from the TikTok website or desktop application. This process is very easy compared to the mobile option. Open your favorite video on TikTok.com and right click on the video. If you’re viewing your own video and you’re signed in to your account, or if the video creator has marked their post as downloadable, there will be an option in the right-click menu that says Download Video. Click that option. .Congratulations, you’re done! The video will be saved as an MP4 in the downloads folder. If you don’t see an option to download a video when you right-click, it may mean that the video creator hasn’t shared the video publicly or has chosen not to allow downloads. .Use Screen Recording It’s not the tidiest option, but you can also record a copy of the video through screen recording on your phone. Basic screen recording captures video images; if turned on, it will record whatever is playing on the screen until you press Stop. Play a TikTok clip while recording your screen and you’ll have a quick and dirty copy saved on your device. You have to play the video all the way through in real time. Note that this will capture everything that happens on the screen while you’re recording, so if a notification pops up or you swipe to another app, everything will be in the video. If you’ve downloaded a video, you may have noticed the faint TikTok watermark in the frame. This watermark will appear on your published videos as well as on videos downloaded from other creators. Unfortunately, there is no official way to download videos directly from the platform after posting without the watermark applied. If the video is still in your draft in the TikTok app—meaning you’ve shot and edited it but haven’t sent it yet—you can select the Save Video option and download the version without the watermark. Generally, if you’re making a video, it’s best to use a separate video editing app to edit the video before posting it online.
